Drink Sparkling Wine and Dance on the Tables
Updated: Dec 31, 2019
Tomorrow is the big day. The day we say goodbye to 2019. The day we say hello to the next decade and all its possibilities. This isn't just any NYE so don't ring it in with just any old bubbles. I've listed my fave 4 below to ring in the 20's!
1) Cipes Brut Rose - Okanagan Valley, BC
Made traditional method. 100% Pinot Noir cuvee grown at multiple vineyard locations around the Okanagan Valley that were planted and are maintained specifically for sparkling wine production to express a crisp, bright style.
Notes of raspberry, strawberry, kiwi, blood orange, vanilla, almond, and white toast.
I'm in love with bubbles! Not only are they amazing but they are pink!
2) Canard Duchene Leoni Brut - Champagne, France
A traditional Champagne that will make your taste buds tingle.
lightly stewed yellow fruits, tropical fruits, dry flowers, and notes of gingerbread. On the palate, fresh with flavours of pineapple confit, slightly spicy, toasted flavours. Pairs amazing with chicken supreme or that new years eve kiss.
3) Ferrari Brut - Trento, Italy
A traditional method bubbles from the North of Italy, I talk a lot about Ferrari. The historic wine of Ferrari Trento is a Trentodoc that is the product of 100% Chardonnay grapes and of their incomparable synergy with the mountains of Trentino.
Golden Delicious apples, white flowers and a delicate scent of yeast. Harmonious and well-balanced, with a faint suggestion of ripe fruit and attractive hints of crusty bread.
4) Villa Conchi Cava - Spain
This style of bubbles comes from Spain and is made in the same traditional method as Champagne but can’t be called this because of where it’s from. It’s less sweet than Prosecco but not as nutty/ as Vintage Champagne.
Aromas and flavours of crisp green apple, citrus, baked bread, white flower and lightly toasted nuts. Medium-bodied with lively acidity and a refreshingly clean finish, this is perfect as a starter or enjoy with light appetizers.
Have a fabulous New Years Everyone! Sending you all things good!
** Table Scape** Broke & Stylish and I had the amazing opportunity to again work with Art Knapps & Fifth Street Florist on the most beautiful New Years Eve Table Scape. I love the dramatic look of rose gold and black, the modern punch of the beautiful center piece and the contrasting vintage crystal glassware. I always forget about crystal because it has a 'granny sheek' appeal thats not normally my style but I love it paired with modern. It really made a statement.
